Thing 41: Live Mocha

I created an account with Mocha and found this site good for anyone thinking of learning a different language. I enrolled in a spanish course and I have to admit it was a little over my head - my spanish is really rusty - but I did like the site.

Thing 40: Retroland

I found Retroland to be an interesting site, I saw things that I haven't seen in years. You can check out my Rocky and Bullwinkle short. This is an excellent site for the nostalgic.

Thing 38: Comic Relief

This toon is my ToonDoo creation - this was a interesting sit.

Thing 37: Music to our ears

I created an account with Pandora and I think it's a good site for listening to your favorite type of music as well as your favorite artist.

I also created an account with Lastfm and I find this site useful for home use - you can upload your itunes music and listen to your music while working on your pc at home.

Thing 36: Dressing up your photos

I signed up for each of these sites Fauxto, Pixenate and Snapfish and I found Fauxto to be the most user friendly. I couldn't get my photos to open at all in pixenate - they were too large - I was able to play around in snapfish with my photos, but with fauxto I liked the way I could edit my photos and play around with the look of the photo.

Thing 34: Using the Web for Better Health

I WENT TO AND JOINED THESE SITES BUT FOLLOWING A ROUTINE IS DIFFICULT FOR ME. I DON'T HAVE A SPECIAL DIET OR DO I COUNT CALORIES - BUT I DO BELIEVE NUTRIDAIRY IS A BIT USER FRIENDLIER THAN FITDAY "MY OPINION" IF I EVER DECIDE TO GET INTO THE HEALTH KICK I WILL GIVE THESE SITES A TRY.

Thing 35: Mini or Micro Blogging

I went through the suggested sites and found them somewhat confusing - the one I had the most luck with was twitter.

Thing 33: Express Yourself Through Online Art

I tried and enjoyed Mr. Picassohead, it was fun to make my own creation.

Is this really the end? Or just the beginning

I am now at the end of my journey with Library 2.0 and I will say that I did enjoy the experience. Some of my favorite discoveries while doing this were some of the graphic sites, I found flickr to be quite enjoyable with it comes the ability to add accessories to your graphics to personalize them. I also found the generator site extremely interesting - it helps you add fun extras to your blog. LibraryThing, while at first I though it was not intriguing has become quite enjoyable in the long run, adding some of my favorite books and authors and seeing how many others enjoyed them as well proved to be helpful. And playing around with Zoho was fun.

I will more than likely re-visit several of these sites to enhance my blog and my web page. And I've also learned a trick or two in the process - tagging, creating specialized graphics, learning more about html, and sharing some of my favorite sites to visit.

I didn't expect to have so much to put on my blog and it surprised me at how much I did add on and how much I have yet to add. I also didn't expect to enjoy the process so much and seeing how much my co-workers enjoyed it as well, it gave us a lot to talk about. I plan on continuing with my blog in the future just to see what else there is to add to it.

If given the opportunity, I wold definitely participate in another program like this. I really enjoyed this whole blogging experience even when it was stressing me out trying to figure things out. Thanks for the opportunity and new knowledge I've found.

NetLibrary

I must be honest, I don't really care for e-books which made exploring this site a little boring for me. When I keyed in some of my favorite authors there were no ebooks available for them. But for those who can get into ebooks, I say go for it and have fun.

Podcasts

I found podcasts to be somewhat informative - I placed a couple of feeds on my blog one is library related the other is just for fun. I did listen to several podcasts and found very interesting ones as well as some extremely boring ones.

Library 2.0 Awards

When I check this site I went through several of the award winners. Some of the things they came up with was astonishing I even tried out some of them. But I found Springwidgets to be interesting. I believe I will start making widgets of my blog.

YouTube

I was already familiar with YouTube and had an account - there are so many video's to choose from it was hard to decide which one to post. I chose the Simpsons because my family loves them and there is multiple videos you can view through the one I chose. I did find some videos on the site the could be interpreted as offensive but all in all I found YouTube a fun place to visit.

Zoho

I really liked Zoho, I found to be a useful tool for doing specialized word processing or spreadsheets - ones that suit your needs. The things you can do with it is incredible, in my opinion, it can be of great use to everyone - especially students, high school or college to give your work that personal touch. I suggest you go to Zoho and give it try.
